Agnès Limbos

Born in 1952. A theater enthusiast from childhood, she discovered miniature toys on soapboxes and was drawn to contemplating trees and the sky. She began her career putting on small poetic puppet shows in bistros and at folk festivals. In 1973, Agnès Limbos became a puppeteer at the Théâtre de Toone in Brussels, then an actress three years later at the Théâtre des Jeunes de la Ville de Bruxelles. From 1977 to 1979, she trained at the Jacques Lecoq International School in Paris and joined the Tres company in Mexico from 1981 to 1983.

She founded the Gare Centrale company in Brussels in 1984, and since then has created 15 unique shows, both short and long, with a total of over 3,500 performances.

Since Gare Centrale was founded, all of its shows have won prizes at numerous theater, puppet and youth festivals abroad. Gare Centrale has toured́ in Israel, England, Spain, Italy, Hong Kong, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, USA, France, Brazil. During each creation, the company surrounds itself with artistic and technical collaborators, and a loyaltý has been established, over the years and creations, with renowned artists who participate or advise on projects.
