In this interactive performance reproducing the jukebox set-up, Les Tables Tournantes and their Elvis puppet will transform into automatons and come to life according to the audience’s musical choices. Featuring an eclectic repertoire of vinyl records, Elvis Jukebox is also a catalog of anachronistic jokes in which the King slips into the shoes of a rapper, a metalhead or a pop diva. The choice is yours!

The Les Tables Tournantes collective formed around the short-form Graceland in 2019. It then evolved into Disgraceland, a 45-minute piece that deconstructs rock’n’roll icon Elvis Presley in a surreal universe orchestrated by four maids and a teddy bear. Joanie Fortin, Mylène Guay and Iris Richert conceive and stage their creations collectively, evolving within three poles: stage writing, contemporary puppetry for adults and sound manipulation. Their favorite subjects are the founding myths of Western culture, which they like to dismantle.eler.
