Sylvie Fusade is a multidisciplinary artist with an insatiable curiosity for everything. Her creative impulses lead her to experiment with different expressive modes, in which she translates the emotional imprints left on her by the violence of the world, particularly that perpetrated against women. Most of the time, she uses recycled materials to create soft sculptures and heterogeneous assemblages, as well as mixed-media paintings and photographs. Her career has been one of uninterrupted cathartic exploration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in educational science (France), a state diploma in special education (France), a certificate in visual arts (UQAM) and a master’s degree in art therapy (UQAT). She works as an artist and art therapist in Frelighsburg in the Eastern Townships.
