Yael Rasooly is a visual theater director, actress, singer and puppeteer.
The relationship between objects/materials and the performer is at the heart of her work, as are her choices of scenography, sound and music. Her visual universe makes the usually unspoken heard, inviting audiences to journey into the unspoken of our society. Her creations have been performed at hundreds of festivals and theaters in over 30 countries, won numerous international awards and received enthusiastic reviews from the press (Telerama, The Guardian and the NY TIMES). Yael also enjoys an international career as a singer. She works regularly with various groups and orchestras in Israel, Europe and North America.
